About Us

In today’s public policy environment, it is no longer sufficient simply to pursue a traditional lobbying strategy. Instead, clients must think outside the box and build coalitions of influencers whose positions resonate with policymakers on Capitol Hill and in federal agencies.

The Readmond Group is a boutique firm specializing in strategic outreach to influencers across the political spectrum. Leveraging close relationships we employ a sophisticated approach that brings together disparate interests to move the ball for our clients.

We take a sophisticated approach to outreach, making sure our clients’ views on complex issues are heard, and finding common ground to form diverse coalitions that influence the policy process both publicly and behind the scenes.

The Readmond Group prides itself in bringing a “substance over style” philosophy to our work, keeping overhead low and maximizing value for our clients. Our clients come first, and we’re proud of the results we consistently deliver on their behalf.

Tom Readmond

Founder & CEO

Tom Readmond’s extensive relationships and understanding of the inner workings of 501(c)(4) advocacy groups and 501(c)(3) think tanks have enabled him to engage these organizations on highly technical issues on behalf of his clients. This engagement makes a real difference when explaining complex, multi-faceted policy issues to organizations whom policymakers frequently look to for guidance on these matters. Whether or not organizations' positions align with those of the client, his abilities enable him to make sure the client’s views are heard, relationships are created and all factors are taken into consideration in the organization’s work and communications.

Mr. Readmond began on the staff of former Senator George Voinovich (R-OH), and then served as a committee staffer for Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX) on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. After leaving the Senate, he served as Federal Affairs Manager at Americans for Tax Reform, advising ATR president Grover Norquist and managing ATR’s activities on issues including telecommunications, technology, IRS reform, postal reform, and international trade. He then spent four years with the boutique lobbying firm Roberts, Raheb & Gradler (RR&G) where he began his work coalition building work for the private sector.

Mr. Readmond graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
